This exceptionally considered design from Robert Hughes Studio reflects the style and taste of the clients perfectly.
Designed before the house was constructed in tandem with the architect meant a truly seamless finish could be achieved from inside to out.
Previous to the construction of the property we installed the large 8 metre tall cedar trees to the rear of the curtilage, something which would not have been achievable after the house was built.
During the construction of the property we were consulted upon to set out the interior tiled floor layout to ensure the flow of the design was achievable from the front to the back of the property. This holistic approach paid dividends as the finish of the house and garden together is effortlessly smooth.
Large format porcelain tiles are used throughout to create terraces and steps, along with raised planters and feature walls clad in a complimentary large format material also seen to the interior of the property.
The reflective water rill and bespoke water chute create a sense of tranquility and calm, and the immersive planting scheme brings movement and colour throughout the year.
The water feature and lighting is run on a fully automated system affording ease of use and creates subtle moods and scenes and different times of the day.
To the front of the property the material palette continues through, transitioning into a large contemporary clay paved driveway, screened with evergreen pleached trees and hedges.
The gardens benefit from a fully automated irrigation system to front and back, reducing maintenance and giving peace of mind throughout summer.
